 3-(4-Hydroxy-3,5-diiodo)-benzoyl-2-butyl benzofuran is an analog of the anti-arrhythmic compound Amiodarone HCl (Cat # F462). It results from O-dealkylation of the parent compound. Analogs of Amiodarone including this one were demonstrated to competitively inhibit 5'-T4 (thyroxine) deiodination.
