REVIEW

Nebivolol is a chiral, selective, third-generation beta1-receptor antagonist used in the treatment of hypertension and chronic heart failure. It blocks activation of adrenergic receptors by epinephrine, reversing its effects and lowering heart rate and blood pressure. It has additional nitric oxide-mediated vasodilating and antioxidant properties, along with a favorable metabolic profile.
