A thiadiazolidinone analog that acts as a highly selective, non-ATP competitive inhibitor of GSK-3be
REVIEW GSK-3beta Inhibitor I is a thiadiazolidinone (TDZD) analog that acts as a highly selective, non-ATP competitive inhibitor of GSK-3beta (IC50 = 2 µM). GSK-3beta Inhibitor I inhibits PKC and Flt-3 activities (IC50 = 1.4-5.5 µM and 673 nM, respectively). GSK-3beta Inhibitor I does not significantly affect the activities of Cdk-1/cyclin B, CK-II, and PKA, (IC50 > 100 µM). This compound binds to the active site of GSK-3beta.
