REVIEW β-Cyclodextrin with sulfobutyl ether groups and sodium ions substituted along the length of the molecule. β-Cyclodextrin is a cyclic oligosaccharide produced from starch via enzymatic conversion. β-Cyclodextrin is commonly used to produce HPLC columns allowing chiral enantiomers separation.
