REVIEW Xanthohumol is a nonestrogenic prenylated chalconoid natural product from hops and beer. It has a range of biological properties with potential therapeutic utility. In preliminary research, xanthohumol was found to be a very potent cancer chemopreventive agent through regulation of diverse mechanisms, it has also shown immune-supporting activity and inhibited platelet aggregation.
