REVIEW
 A synthetic glucocorticoid, a derivative of cortisol, which is used to treat a variety of inflammatory and auto-immune conditions. Prednisolone irreversibly binds with glucocorticoid receptors (GR) alpha and beta for which they have a high affinity.
