REVIEW
 Febantel is a phenylguanidine antihelmintic highly active against various species of nematodes and cestodes in mice, rats, dogs, sheep and cattle. It is a prodrug which is transformed into the benzimidazole compound fenbendazole in the stomach and the intestine of the host. Its mode of action is to bind to tubulin subunits and interfere with microtubule formation.
