REVIEW
 Triclabendazole is a benzimidazole-based anthelmintic used in human and animals. It is considered the drug of first choice against liver flukes. Its mode of action is to bind to beta-tubulin and prevent the polymerization of microtubules, impairing intracellular transport mechanisms and interfering with protein synthesis. Triclabendazole is specifically active against Fasciola, Fascioloides and Paragonimus.
