REVIEW Anethole trithione is a choleretic used to allay dry mouth and constipation due to tranquilizers. It is a free radical scavenger which increases glutathione synthesis and glutathione enzyme activity and inhibits NFkappa B activation. And it appears to be a very promising agent for chemoprevention, in particular for cancer chemoprevention.
