REVIEW

Tropinone is an alkaloid which shares the same core structure as cocaine, obtained from coca leaves. Tropinone's core structural motif has been actively used in drug discovery to study cocaine's mode of action; as a novel structural motif and building block for synthetic and medicinal chemistry.
