REVIEW

Isoprinosine (Inosine pranobex or Methisoprinol) is a combinatinon of inosine, acetamidobenzoic acid, and dimethylaminoisopropanol used as an antiviral reagent. Inosine pranobex acts as a powerful immunostimulant, and has no direct effect on viral cells. Used to study the effects and potential treatments of various viral infective agents. Isoprinosine has also been studied as an enhancer of the immune response, specifically useful to slow the progression of AIDS.
