REVIEW Amprenavir (Agenerase) is an an oral, non-peptidic peptidomimemtic viral protease inhibitor with specificity for the HIV protease enzyme, developed by Vertex Pharmaceuticals. The resistance profile of amprenavir appears to differ from that of other protease inhibitors such as saquinavir and indinavir.
