REVIEW Three related products: This product is chemically-processing lignin derived from natural sources.
Sodium ligninsulfonate [V1137], Lignin (dealkaline) [0808AP] and Lignin (alkaline) [0807AP].
Firstly, V1137 is prepared from needle-leaved trees and broad-leaved trees through the treatment of sodium sulfite.
Secondly, 0808AP is prepared from V1137 through the chemical modifications such as partial desulfonation, oxidation, hydrolysis and demethylation.
Furthermore, 0807AP is prepared form 0808AP by adjusting the pH value in alkaline range (pH8.0-10.0) and is more water-soluble than 0808AP.
Although 0808AP is less water-soluble than 0807AP, it becomes easier to dissolve in water when heated.
The structural difference:
Amount of sulfo group: V1137 > 0808AP = 0807AP, Amount of carboxy group: V1137 < 0808AP = 0807AP;
0808AP and 0807AP have the same amount of sulfo group and carboxy group but their pH are different from each other.
